Detailed Itinerary
Ho Chi Minh City → Mekong Delta | My Tho & Ben Tre → Ho Chi Minh City
07:30 AM – Departure from Ho Chi Minh City
Your English-speaking guide will welcome you at your hotel in central District 1 or at the Vietwind meeting point at District 1.
Leave Ho Chi Minh City by air-conditioned van and travel south towards My Tho, enjoying views of rice paddies, rural communities and the changing landscapes outside the city.
After approximately 1.5 hours, arrive in My Tho and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, a beautiful Buddhist complex known for its distinctive architecture and peaceful gardens.
Continue to the Mekong River and board a local boat for a scenic cruise. Along the way, observe the everyday rhythm of life on the river, including fish cages, floating houses and riverside communities.
The boat then enters smaller waterways leading towards Ben Tre, where the landscape becomes greener and quieter. Disembark on a coconut-covered island and walk through the village, surrounded by tropical gardens and coconut palms.
Visit a local family home to taste seasonal tropical fruit, honey tea and honey wine while listening to traditional Southern Vietnamese music performed by local villagers.
Continue to a small coconut candy workshop, where you can see how coconut is processed into traditional sweets and discover a variety of handicrafts made from coconut.
Take time to photograph the countryside and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere before continuing to a local restaurant.
Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch in a garden setting beneath the shade of tropical trees.
After lunch, relax in the countryside, take a leisurely village walk or enjoy a short optional bicycle ride along the local paths.
In the afternoon, return to My Tho and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive at approximately 4:30 PM, marking the end of your Mekong Delta experience.
