Laos exceeded our expectations in every way. We loved the peaceful atmosphere of Luang Prabang, the turquoise pools of Kuang Si Waterfalls and the beautiful mountain scenery around Vang Vieng. Traveling further south allowed us to discover another side of the country, with coffee plantations on the Bolaven Plateau, ancient Khmer heritage at Wat Phou and the tranquil landscapes of the 4,000 Islands.
